In the previous IPL season, he had a less-than-ideal performance with Sunrisers Hyderabad, having been acquired for Rs 13.25 crores. Across 11 matches, he scored 190 runs at an average of 21.11, including one century. His overall T20 career spans 125 matches, amassing 3,019 runs at an average exceeding 33, maintaining a striking rate above 150. Notably, he has secured three centuries and compiled 11 half-centuries during his T20 journey.
