No Chance: Michael Vaughan dismisses Pakistan’s hope of comeback in second AUS vs PAK Test

Michael Vaughan opposes Pakistan Team Director Mohammad Hafeez's expectations of a comeback in the second AUS versus PAK Test.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has promptly dismissed Pakistan Team director Mohammad Hafeez’s belief of team making a comeback against Australia in the second Australia vs Pakistan Test. Pat Cummins and his team secured a commanding victory over Pakistan, defeating them by 360 runs in the first Test at Perth Stadium.

Being tasked with chasing a substantial target of 450, Pakistan faltered and was eventually bowled out for a mere 89 runs in 30.2 overs. Saud Shakeel emerged as the top scorer for his team in the second innings, contributing 24 runs off 51 balls.

‘No Chance’ of Comeback in second AUS vs PAK Test:

Having remained winless on Australian soil for 28 years now, Pakistan faces an even bigger challenge now. But Hafeez begs to differ. He feels that Australia can be defeated.

“I’ve seen during the preparation the amount of talent these guys have,” said Hafeez. “There is no doubt they can beat Australia here in Australia.”

Despite Hafeez’s optimistic outlook, the former England Skipper Vaughan thinks that Pakistan may be unable to prevent the losing streak from extending to 16 in Melbourne. ‘No Chance’ Michael Vaughan wrote on X (formerly Twitter) replying to a Hafeez.

Hafeez vs Vaughan, Not the First Time

This is not the first instance where Hafeez and Vaughan have held opposing views on Twitter. Their disagreement on Virat Kohli recently had made headlines. Vaughan was seen teasing Hafeez on how Virat Kohli bowled him out after the latter’s remarks about the Indian legend during the World Cup.
