Pakistan Cricket Team have lost further momentum after a crushing 360-run defeat in the AUS vs PAK 1st Test. Shan Masood & Co have been fined 10% of their match fee for slow over rate. And as a result of that, Pakistan have lost 2 WTC points to slip to second spot. India are now sole No 1 in WTC Points Table.
The visitors were bundled out for 89 runs in the second innings and a result, they slipped to second spot. But even after that, Pakistan had 66.67 percentage points. But now, they have 61.11 after the slow over rate penalty.

A depleted and new-look Pakistan began AUS vs PAK series on the backfoot. David Warner smashed 164 as Australia went on to post 346/5 on Day 1.
While Pakistan did make a brief comeback despite Mitchell Marsh smashing 90, Pakistan’s batting let them down. Pakistan were bowled out for 271 in the first innings. Australia then further added pressure, scoring 233/5 in the second innings and Shan Masood & Co crumbled under pressure.
Superb bowling from Jos Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon meant Pakistan were dismissed for 89.
However, Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez said the side can still bounce back.
“Well, we couldn’t execute our skills well. We made plans for the team, but unfortunately we couldn’t execute them well. That’s not an excuse. The guys wanted to, but they never applied themselves, to be very honest. As a team there were a couple of tactical errors we made during this Test match. There were certain situations where we could have dominated, and as a team, the plans were there and we prepared ourselves for that. But the execution wasn’t great,” Hafeez said.
