Chennai Super Kings brand new academy inaugurated by Ambati Rayudu, Check details

Chennai Super Kings opened a cricket academy in Coimbatore on Monday. The facility was inaugurated by Ambati Rayudu.

Former Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu on Monday (December 18) launched the Super Kings Academy in Coimbatore, which will commence cricket coaching classes from January 2024. This is the 6th academy of the Chennai Super Kings in Tamil Nadu. Started in April 2022, the CSK academy already operates in Chennai, Salem, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Hosur. There are also two academies outside India in Berkshire (UK) and Dallas (USA).

During the launch, Ambati Rayudu gave a speech as he said, “Coimbatore is lucky and really fortunate because growing up as a cricketer to get these kinds of facilities to practice is a dream. I am sure a lot of good cricketers will come up using these facilities in Coimbatore, especially having turf wickets and also having specialty coaching.”

Speaking more about Chennai Super Kings academy, the infrastructure includes 9 pitches of which 5 are turf pitches, 2 astroturf and 2 matting pitches along with floodlights for training in the evenings.

They can learn how to be a professional at a very early age. Personally, I learnt about professional sport only when I was about 17 or 18. But, kids now with the help of CSK and all the coaching staff can learn it at a very early age. And, it will really help them to not only represent Tamil Nadu but also India in the future. I am sure CSK has been doing a lot to give back to the sport and the fans,” Rayudu added.
