Arshdeep Singh was on cloud 9 after clinching his maiden ODI fifer in IND vs SA 1st ODI. But the Indian speedster claimed that he was running out of breath. He complained that bowling in the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg is different from bowling in other grounds.
“I feel little sore. Loving this moment. Thank God and the team management. It is a little different than normal grounds as I was running out of breath,” said Arshdeep Singh after the match.
Arshdeep Singh not only bagged his first ODI wicket but also wreak havoc on the Proteas by scalping his maiden ODI fifer. His stunning bowling partnered by a four-fer from Avesh Khan broke South Africa’s backbone as the hosts were bundled out for just 116 runs.
“Personally it feels good, I am enjoying my role. I would thank KL Rahul bhai as he said you have to come back and get that fifer. I guess it is about enjoying this moment. (On the upcoming matches) When we go there, then focus on what will work there,” said Arshdeep after being adjudged as the Man of the Match.
After explaining about the difficult conditions to bowl in the game, Arshdeep claims that he is enjoying his role in the team. He is happy how KL Rahul and the management has backed him.
As for the upcoming matches in the ODI series, the young pacer is determined and brimming with confidence. He has said that the focus of the team will be on the things that will work on the field.
