‘We are over it’, Aiden Markram reveals South Africa has moved on from World Cup exit

South Africa skipper Aiden Markram said that the team is "over" World Cup exit and is looking forward to ODI series against India.

South Africa’s skipper Aiden Markram said that the team has moved on from the heartbreaking World Cup exit and is looking forward to IND vs SA ODI series, starting on Sunday.

Notably, the Proteas lost to Australia in the semi-finals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Temba Bavuma-led side won seven out of their nine matches in the league stage, but once again failed to cross the semi final hurdle.

“It’s never nice to exit a World Cup like that. I thought we had something really good going and that does filter into this team – from the good side of things,” Markram was quoted as saying.
