ENG coach Matthew Mott defended his side as England fell to yet another defeat at the hands of the West Indies. Rovman Powell’s men executed a perfectly planned innings, finishing the night with a 10-run win over the visitors that took them 2-0 up in the ENG vs WI series. While Mott did attempt to defend his side’s performance, he also noted that it was time they started coming up with solutions.

As per Belfast Telegraph, the England head coach claimed that his team played good cricket for 90% of the match and they were hurt after not being able to control the Windies in the death overs. He also noted that there were too many dot balls despite the batting being decent.
“We have to respond from this. We will try to come up with more solutions. We are trying hard, we are close. We are a couple of good hits away from a win”, Mott said.
“The message in the changing room is that we are not far away. We just have to stay the course. We’ve got to win one first. That’s our first target”, he added.
King, captain lead charge, go 2-0 up in ENG vs WI T20s
The visitors’ plan backfired after Buttler decided to put WI to bat first after winning the toss. West Indies opener Brendon King was arguably the standout batsman of the lot. King smashed 5 sixes and 8 fours as he remained 82*(52) at the end of the first innings. While Pooran, Hetmyer, Kyle Myers and Shai Hope failed to fire, it was skipper Rovman Powell who rose to the occasion.
In reply with the bat, England failed to go all guns blazing, some that doesn’t align with the ‘Bazball’ approach. Buttler (5) was dismissed cheaply yet again while the others failed to get going. Sam Curran was the standout among the visitors, having been the only one in the team to score a fifty,
