Suryakumar Yadav provides injury update post batting heroics in IND vs SA 3rd T20I

Suryakumar Yadav got injured during the third over of the second innings as Ravindra Jadeja took over the captaincy role.

Suryakumar Yadav has provided an update on his injury which he suffered while fielding in the IND vs SA 3rd T20I. India captain limped off the field and did not return after twisting his ankle after he smacked a blazing record fourth T20I ton. After the match, SKY confirmed that he was ‘feeling food’ as he collected the player of the match and series award.

“I am good. I am walking, so good. Always a good feeling. When it comes in a winning cause, it makes me happier,” Suryakumar Yadav said after the match.

Suryakumar also lauded Kuldeep Yadav for a brilliant five-wicket haul as he stated that the left-arm spinner is never happy with his performance.

“We wanted to play some fearless brand of cricket. The idea was to bat first, put some runs on the board and defend. The boys work day in and day out. Happy that they showed some character. He (Kuldeep) is never happy. He is always hungry. It is a nice self gift on his birthday. I mean it is important to know your game. I just go out there and enjoy myself. The balance is important,” he added.
