Shubman Gill’s poor form post ODI World Cup continues. The ace batter was dismissed by Keshav Maharaj after managing to score just 12 runs. After being dismissed for a duck in the previous game, Gill failed to amass big runs as he starts to fear with the opening competition.
Gill already has competition from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal. And now with the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma returning to the team for red-ball cricket, it creates a big problem for the Baby GOAT.

Shubman Gill’s Dismissal
Shubman Gill has become a victim to an unfortunate dismissal. He was scalped by Keshav Maharaj on the bowler’s first delivery of the game. It is safe to say that the Baby GOAT got off to a good start after hitting 2 fours early on in the innings.
But he completely misjudged a slow in drifter from Maharaj which goes below his bat to hit his pads. The umpire raises his fingers amidst Protean appeals and Gill walks off. Had Gill review the call, he would have been safe as the hawkeye prediction showed that the ball was missing the stumps.
Gill’s Spot in Trouble
It is safe to say Gill’s poor form in the shortest format of the game is a bit of a trouble. He already faces a strong challenge from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal for the coveted spot. Moreover, now that Rohit Sharma is ready to return to the India Cricket Team it is of utmost importance for Gill to find his form before losing it out to the other two players.
