David Warner silences Mitchell Johnson with stunning Test hundred against Pakistan

Warner's decision to announce his retirement prior to the series was questioned by former teammate Mitchell Johnson.

With people questioning his decision to announce his farewell series, David Warner has shut up all of his critics with a glorious century in the first Australia vs Pakistan Perth Test on Thursday. The southpaw started his farewell Test series with a bang, hitting his 26th Test ton in just 125 balls.

The batter hit 14 boundaries in his glorious innings, smacking all the bowlers alike. However, the highlight of his innings was his T20esque shot against Shaheen Afridi. In a rather flawless innings, Warner displayed that he is not done yet, and is still a force to reckon with, in Tests.

Meanwhile, Warner extended his excellent Test record against the Pakistanis. In the last six Test innings vs Pakistan at home, Warner has returned with scores of 144, 113, 55, 154, 335, 103.

Warner’s Reply to Mitchell Johnson

In the last few days, ever since Warner had decided to hang his boots after the Pakistan series, his former teammate Johnson had a go at him. The latter said, that Warner doesn’t deserve a hero send-off for his doings in the past, referring to the Sandpaper Gate. But not Warner has come up with a perfect reply for Johnson.
