Indian Women will take on their England counterparts in a one-off Test in the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. With the Indian Women playing a Test after two years, the Harmanpreet Kaur led-side will be desperate for a win after losing the T20I series against England. The DY Patil Stadium pitch is expected to offer advantage to batters. There is generally little or no hint of grass on the pitch, as batters do not find it difficult to go ahead with their shots. It can be expected that the pitch will develop cracks and help spinners as the game progresses since its a four day affair.
Although no Tests have been played at DY Patil, the T20s including India Women’s matches, IPL and WPL have more or less seen high scoring affairs consistently. The highest score in a T20I match has been 187, scored by both Indian Women and Australian Women in a thrilling match that ended in a tie.
