Niantic has announced Pokémon GO’s last Community Day for 2023 which is scheduled for two days – Saturday, December 16, 2023, and Sunday, December 17, 2023. Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2023 will appear more frequently in the wild and as reward encounters for Timed Research. Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2022 will hatch from Eggs and appear in raids and as reward encounters for Timed Research. The Community Day meetups will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, and Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time (IST in India). The virtual trainer meetups will be held in 18 cities across India, including New Delhi’s Lodhi Gardens, Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Pune’s Saras Baug, Gurugram’s Leisure Valley Park, Chandigarh’s Rose Garden, Jaipur’s Jawahar Circle, Bengaluru’s Statue of Edward VII in Cubbon Park, Kanpur’s Kargil Park, Vadodara’s Kamatibaug, Kolkata’s Lions Safari Park in Rabindra Sarovar Lake, Varanasi’s Shaheed Udyaan Nagar Nigam, Patna’s Science Center, Chennai’s Phoenix Market city, Hyderabad’s Indira Park, Lucknow’s Lohia Park, Ahmedabad’s Gandhi Ashram, Thiruvananthapuram’s The Napier Museum and Visakhapatnam’s All Abilities Children Park.
Pokémon GO December 2023 Community Day: Featured Pokémon
A different set of Pokémon will be featured on each event day – Saturday, December 16, 2023, and Sunday, December 17, 2023—from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time (IST in India). The Pokémon that appear during this time will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appeared during their original Community Days. Outside of these times, any of the featured Pokémon may appear from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time (IST in India) on either Saturday or Sunday.

- Galarian Slowpoke
- Togetic
- Chespin
- Fennekin
- Noibat
The following Pokémon will be featured on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
- Poliwag
- Wooper
- Paldean Wooper
- Timburr
- Axew
- Froakie
- Grubbin
Lucky Trainers might encounter the following Pokémon on either day! For the last ten minutes of each hour between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time (IST in India), Trainers can catch an opportunity to encounter these Pokémon – Charmander, Squirtle, Mareep, Swinub, and Larvitar.

Community Day Special Research story – December Community Day 2023
Players will be able to access the December Community Day–exclusive Special Research story for the event. They need to pay US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button.
Tickets are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the ToS). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal. For featured attacks, and more information read the full blog.
