The ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is inching closer as PSL 2024 looks set to be a grand affair. Before the PSL 2024 draft scheduled to be held on December 13, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced the list of players in the Platinum pool.
A total of 44 players have been registered in the Platinum category which contains some prominent names. Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Matthews, England player Ben Duckett, West Indies power-hitter Kieron Pollard, and Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman are some of the biggest names to look out for in the Platinum pool. Aside from the above-mentioned ones, several Afghanistan players such as Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Naveen Ul Haq, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz feature in the list.

South Africa’s Van Der Dussen and Imran Tahir are also part of the Platinum pool.
According to the Pakistan Super League statement, 485 international players from 22 countries have registered to participate in the PSL 2024 Draft at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Lahore. 44 players have registered in the Platinum category, while 76 have registered in the Diamond category,
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League will be held in four cities across the country. The PCB has announced that the four cities where the matches will be held are Lahore, Karachi Rawalpindi and Multan.
The date of the start of the PSL 2024 has been confirmed as February 18, with the first match taking place in Lahore. However, some franchises have expressed doubts about the timings, claiming that the tournament could be delayed due to cold weather and fog.
