The India women’s cricket team will begin their home season with a T20I series against England. On Friday, the BCCI named squads for two Tests, one against England and one against Australia, as well as three T20Is against England. The roster for the white-ball series against Australia, on the other hand, will be chosen later.
The Squad will be led by the formidable Harmanpreet Kaur. The likes of Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh are joined by Saika Ishak and Titas Sadhu of Bengal in both the Test and T20I squads. Top India A performers Shreyanka Patil and Minnu Mani made their way in the T20 squad.
The ‘A’ teams are curently competing in a three-match T20I series before the main series begins. The tour and main series will take place in Mumbai, at the Wankhede Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium. After 18 years, England and India will play a four-day Test match on Indian soil.
India will begin with three T20I against England at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium from December 6 to 10. The matches will start at 7 pm. The two teams will thereafter play a one-off Test beginning December 14 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The one-off Test against Australia will begin on December 21 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
