Sunday witnessed the epic Pro Kabaddi clash between Dabang Delhi and Tamil Thalaivas in Ahmedabad. Before the start of the match, one thing was clear, the match will be dominated by the raiders from both sides. But little did anyone know that it would be Thalaivas’ Ajinkya Pawar who would reign supreme against someone like Naveen Kumar, who is the best raider in PKL by a mile.
In the match, it was Ajinkya, who led by example for a team, which was a little weak in the raiding department — the latter scored 21 points against Dabang Delhi. That was the main reason why Thalivas won 42-31 in their very first match. On the other hand, Naveen was good on the day too, and scored 17 points, but just could not do enough to take his team over the line.

In just the third match of PKL 2023, Ajinkya has given a clear warning to all the teams, that theirs is not a weak raiding unit by any stretch of imagination. In fact, not having a star like Naveen in their ranks, works better for them. Having said that, Naveen has shown time-and-again, that he is the best in the business, ahead of Ajinkya as well.
