With the T20 World Cup on the horizon, the Aussie stars are keen to get some much-needed T20 action under their belt to keep their form intact ahead of the mega tournament. Stars like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, and others have all included their names for the IPL 2024 auction and are set to go under the hammer for big bucks.
The agenda for the Australian stars is very simple. The Indian Premier League (IPL) provides the most competitive T20 cricket in the World. And to play with the top stars of the World in the biggest T20 event not only brings up the best in a player but also gives them a thorough analysis of the opponent players.
Warmup for T20 World Cup
The newly crowned ODI World Cup champions have their target fixed. The Aussies will now target winning the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in USA and West Indies in the middle of 2024. Ahead of the big tournament, the biggest names in Australian cricket have all enlisted themselves in IPL 2024 Auction.

Josh Hazlewood was released by RCB on the IPL 2024 retention day. Reports claim that he will miss the opening half of IPL and is set to back at home for the birth of his child. On the other hand, surprisingly he has enlisted his name in the auction in the hopes of playing the latter half of IPL as a means of preparation of T20 World Cup.
