IND-W vs ENG-W: Amol Muzumdar echoes Rohit Sharma’s ‘fearless’ mantra for Harmanpreet Kaur & Co

Amol Muzumdar said that Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. will need to play a certain brand of cricket in the upcoming IND-W vs ENG-W T20 series.

IND-W vs ENG-W: The newly appointed head coach of the Indian Women’s cricket team, Amol Muzumdar has asked for a ‘fearless’ approach from his side in the upcoming IND-W vs ENG-W T20 series. The three-match series against England is set to kick off in Mumbai on Wednesday (December 6) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Taking a note from the Rohit Sharma’s fearless mantra in World Cup, Amol Muzumdar said that Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. will need to play a certain brand of cricket. “We need to play a certain brand of cricket, which we have been known for so far. Fearless cricket is something which I have always advocated. We would be playing that brand of cricket,” Muzumdar told reporters on Tuesday.

“Shafali (Verma) and Jemimah (Rodrigues) are both very important cog in the wheel. I would like them to continue what they have been doing. We are moving towards the World Cup. Every series and match will have its own importance. The series against England and Australia will count a lot,” he added.

Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the unit in the upcoming fixture, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. The likes of Jemmimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma are other star batters will bolster team India chances in the upcoming series. Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. have also included both wicketkeeper-batters Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh, and there are high chances of both getting a go in the T20Is. As stated above, the first match of the IND-W vs ENG-W will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.
