As India gears up for a formidable tour of South Africa, head coach Rahul Dravid has issued a rallying cry, urging every player to contribute to the team’s success during the upcoming series. With three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests on the agenda, the month-long tour promises to be a challenging test for the Indian squad, starting this Sunday.

Rahul Dravid, a stalwart in Indian cricket, acknowledges the difficulties posed by South African pitches, emphasizing the need for batsmen to craft individual game plans tailored to handle the challenges of the conditions. In an interview with Star Sports, he highlighted the demanding nature of South African wickets, particularly in Centurion and Johannesburg, known for their propensity to assist both seam and variable bounce.

“It is a challenging place to bat; the statistics will tell you that. It is one of the more difficult places to bat in, especially up here in Centurion and Johannesburg. The wickets do tend to do a bit, and they tend to get up and down as well,” remarked Dravid.
