‘No money can buy..’, CSK’s Matheesha Pathirana shares cryptic post ahead of IPL 2024 trade deadline day

Matheesha Pathirana uploaded a story on his Instagram account as he wrote “No Money Can Buy Loyalty” as the caption.

Chennai Super Kings’ pacer Matheesha Pathirana has shared a cryptic post ahead of the IPL 2024 trade deadline. On Saturday, Pathirana posted a story on his social media page with the text “No Money Can Buy Loyalty”. Meanwhile, based on young pacer’s story, few CSK fans questioned whether the Sri Lankan bowler was approached by any other IPL team for a trade deal ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. To note, the deadline for the players trade will close on December 12.

Notably, Mumbai Indians (MI) recently signed Gujarat Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya for a whopping sum of INR 15 crore in a cash deal. As a result, the five-time IPL champs had to sanction another cash trade and sent Cameron Green (INR 17.5 crore) to RCB.

Coming back to Matheesha Pathirana, the express pacer was purchased by CSK for INR 20 lakhs in 2023. The right-arm pacer was then retained by the Yellow Army for the upcoming edition. Earlier, Pathirana had credited CSK skipper MS Dhoni for his success in the 20-over format as the Sri Lankan pacer remains a key player in the CSK line-up.
