‘Play ‘Watch Out’ by Sidhu’ Bumrah practices for IND vs SA with this banger

Bumrah made his Test debut in South Africa on the 2017-18 tour.

Ahead of the crucial IND vs SA Test series, Jasprit Bumrah got into his groove by listening to the late Sidhu Moose Wala. The Indian spearhead will lead the bowler’s pack with Mohammed Shami’s fitness-circumspect and inexperienced Mohammed Siraj and Mukesh Kumar by his side. To get into his rhythm, Bumrah cranked his favourite song, Watch Out, as he started to throw down rockets at his friend and teammate KL Rahul.

In a short video posted by Jasprit Bumrah online, the pacer was asked, “JB, we are making a reel for you; what song would you like?”. Without hesitating, the quick from Gujarat said,” Watch Out by Sidhu Moose Wala,” before steaming in to bowl.

The unorthodox pacer made his Test debut in South Africa on the 2017–18 tour. The pacer made his mark in the longest format of the game, picking up 14 wickets in 3 matches. Although his start in Test cricket was a success, the India Cricket Team lost that series 2-1.

The pacer came back 4 years later to exact revenge on the 2021–2022 tour. This time, with experience under his belt, the pacer felt confident. His 5 wickets in the first match, along with KL Rahul’s ton helped India claim a 1-0 lead. However, that’s where things turned sideways. Virat Kohli got injured in the next match, and Bumrah wasn’t at his best in the next two games, taking just 7 wickets in 4 innings.

However, this time Bumrah would be raring to make his mark. Having already won a series in Australia and drawn one in England, South Africa remains the only chink in his armour. Will Jasprit Bumrah finally get glory where his career started? Time will tell.
