The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the list of foreign players in the Gold category of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). PSL 2024 draft for 9th season takes place on December 13.
A total of 130 foreign players have been registered in the Golden category. Some of the notable players in the Gold category include Ben Cutting, Niroshan Dickwella, Dinesh Chandimal, Ali Khan and others.
According to Pakistan Super League (PSL) statement, 485 international players from 22 countries have registered to participate in the PSL 2024 Draft at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Lahore. 46 players have registered in the Platinum category, while 76 have registered in the Diamond category, according to the official website.
The PCB has declared that the 9th edition of the PSL will be played in 4 cities in Pakistan. The cities where matches will be played in are Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan.
PSL 2024 will tentatively start on February 18 with the first match being played in Lahore. However, some franchises have questioned the timings of the tournament, claiming that cold weather and fog could cause delays.
Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, is pushing hard for the matches to be held in Peshawar. The club claims that the construction of its stadium will be finished in two months. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to decide whether or not Peshawar will be the host city for the upcoming matches.
