Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes on Wednesday helped the Red Devils gain a 2-0 lead against Galatasaray in Champions League with an audacious pile-driver. Alejandro Garnacho opened proceedings for the Red Devils before Fernandes scored the absolute banger inside the first 20 minutes.
Manchester United were sitting at the bottom of the group in the Champions League and faced a must-win game against Galatasaray in Turkey. The Red Devils turned up and how! A rejuvenated Man United side started the game in brisk pace and scored in the 11th minute through Garnacho.

United captain Fernandes soon joined the party and doubled his team’s lead with just 18 minutes on the clock. Shaw played a smart pass inside from the left-hand touchline to Fernandes, who powered towards the edge of the area. The Red Devils captain then curled a beauty of a right-footed finish into the top-left corner, leaving Galatasaray goalkeeper Muslera with no chance.
However, despite taking a 3-1 lead just after the start of second half, Manchester United failed to get all three points and were held to a draw.
Two goals from Hakim Ziyech and a stunning from Kerem Akturkoglu helped Galatasaray to salvage a point at home and move to second position in Group A.
