Dana White Rejects Reports of 1.3 Million PPV Sales for KSI vs Tommy Fury- “Lying”

Dana White denies the accuracy of reports claiming 1.3 million pay-per-view sales for KSI vs. Tommy Fury, stating that the figures are false.

The clash between KSI and Tommy Fury unfolded at Manchester’s AO Arena, drawing 1.3 million pay-per-view sales. The event, which included the Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis grudge match, occurred on October 14, 2023, in a packed Manchester Arena. However, UFC president Dana White has refuted claims of 1.3 million PPV sales, prompting a closer look at the specifics.

Dana White Denies 1.3 Million PPV Sales for KSI vs Tommy Fury

In a Podcast with Full Send Podcast, Dana White’s response to the rumoured 1.3 million pay-per-view (PPV) buys for The Prime Card, has dismissed those claims as false, stating that the reported PPV numbers are fake.

In a statement he said “Let me tell you this. Let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3M PPV buys. And if you did sell 1.3M…if you sold fucking 700K PPV buys, they’d be putting on fights fucking ten times a year.” He also added “When you hear those kinds of numbers fly around the PPV world, they’re lying motherfuckers. Don’t ever believe that shit.”

The co-main event featuring Logan Paul and Dillon Danis garnered significant attention and hype due to their pre-fight trash-talking, attracting fans from around the world.

However, the success of pay-per-view (PPV) buys is solely determined by the number of people purchasing the PPV, irrespective of the level of hype surrounding the event.

Dana White has expressed his disbelief regarding the reported 1.3 million PPV buys, asserting that the numbers released are false and that selling 1.3 million PPV buys is a challenging feat.

White also suggests that if a fight generates 700k PPV, the organization would host it 10 times a year. While the released numbers may be inaccurate or accurate, it remains an assumption following White’s statement. Currently, there has been no response to White’s comments, and only time will reveal the outcome.
