Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra has taken an indirect dig against Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya after he decided to leave Gujarat Titans in of the biggest IPL trade. Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra also said that it will leave an impact on Pandya’s CV. It must be mentioned that Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Titans to lift the IPL trophy in their maiden appearance of the franchise-based league.

“Once in a while life would give you an opportunity to choose between money and legacy. Whatever you choose will define you for the rest of your life,” wrote Aakash Chopra on his Twitter handle. The five-time champions Mumbai Indians is being led by Rohit Sharma. As a result, it is highly unlikely that Hardik Pandya will get the chance to lead MI.

The one thing that won’t look good on Hardik’s CV is that he left Mumbai because he wanted to become a captain. You went to Gujarat and then became the Indian captain. You will no longer be a franchise captain now but you still want to be India’s captain – it doesn’t sit right,” Aakash Chopra said in his YouTube show.

The cricket expert also asserted that it does not look right that you are leading the national side but your not the skipper of your franchise in IPL. “It doesn’t look right whether you look from optics or any other angle, that you are not your franchise’s captain but are India’s captain in the T20 World Cup. It doesn’t sound right but so be it,” added Chopra.
