It was a day to remember for Indian southpaws as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, and Rinku Singh produced magic to take India to their 5th highest total in T20I. Jaiswal started the proceedings in the IND vs AUS 2nd T20I, scoring 53 off 25 balls and taking India to 77 at the end of the powerplay.
Ishan then took over, milking the bowlers in the middle order. The wicketkeeper batter also scored a fifty, albeit a bit slower (29 balls) than Jaiswal did. However, Rinku stole the show once again. The finisher has made the habit of ending things in style, and so he did this time as well. Rinku’s 31 of 9 balls provided the final nail in the coffin for the Aussie bowlers, who were tonked left, right, and center.

India punish Aussie bowler to score 5th highest total in T20I
Starting with openers Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Men in Blue punished the visitors. Runs were aplenty, and Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rinku only added to that tally.
Setting 236 as the target, India beat their previous 5th-highest total in T20I (234/4 vs WI). If Australia were to chase down the target, it’d be the fifth-highest run chase in T20I history.
