As the excitement dust settles, one burning question fans have is why “The Best in the World” departed from the biggest pro wrestling promotion. Here are all the details about it.

Here’s Why CM Punk Left WWE

CM Punk is one of the biggest pro wrestling superstars in the world. He was among the top-tier names who made the transition easy along with John Cena and others, when all the big names left the promotion. And he easily managed it thanks to his persona and popularity. 

Talking about his stint in the three letter company he joined the promotion and made his debut in WWE’s ECW in 2006. Since then, he achieved a lot, winning titles like ECW, WWE, World Heavyweight, World Tag Team, and Intercontinental Championships. 

Post-2010, “The voice of voiceless” soared to the top of WWE, reaching the pinnacle by challenging The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak. Despite his success, he left in 2014 amid health issues, receiving news of his firing on his wedding day. After which, Punk then ventured into UFC, fighting twice before declaring a seven-year hiatus from wrestling.

His unexpected return in 2021 with AEW. And during which he made a statement that indicated that he wasn’t happy with Vince McMahon’s promotion. As per his statement: “I feel almost that the 10 years that I spent in WWE was wasted. Because I feel it is Management, Owner, Booker, whoever’s job, is to get the most out of all the talent.”
