Veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is all set to continue his journey as CSK’s skipper as the side released the list of players retained ahead of IPL 2024 auctions. Chennai Super Kings released players featuring the likes of Ben Stokes, Ambati Rayudu and more ahead of the mini-auctions. The releases have paved way for CSK’s purse to go up to Rs 32.2 cr for the IPL 2024 mini auction.
A part of CSK since the team’s inception, Dhoni is being paid a whooping Rs 12 cr by the franchise, till 2023. Despite battling a knee injury, the wicketkeeper-batter will once again feature for the Yelloves and has strongly dismissed rumours of his retirement from the marquee league.
