Manchester City striker Erling Haaland on Saturday broke the record of Andrew Cole as the quickest player in the history of the Premier League to reach the land mark of 50 goals. Haaland achieved this wonderful feat in a high stakes game against Liverpool. His left-foot strike gave Cityzens the lead in a crucial tie.
The Norwegian forward beat the some of the finest players to have played in the Premier League by scoring 50 goals in just 48 games. The 23-year-old beat the likes of Alan Shearer (66) Ruud van Nistelrooy (68) Fernando Torres and Mohamed Salah (72) to continue his red-hot form.
Haaland’s first season in England was a thumping success. He arrived from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022, immediately leading Manchester City to a record-breaking treble-winning season.
Haaland scored an astonishing 52 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions. He helped City to a treble of the Premier League and FA Cup, as well as the UEFA Champions League. He was the top scorer in both the UCL and Premier League. Haaland scored 12 goals in Europe and 36 goals in the PL, setting a new club record.

Haaland, who is enjoying life under Guardiola at the moment, is also said to be on the radar of Real Madrid. If the report is true, the Los Blancos will surely be tempted to bring Haaland to Santiago Bernabeu if the Norwegian continues to break record after record in the Premier League.
