Indian ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been in his best form for Haryana in the opening encounter of the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). Yuzvendra Chahal claimed a six-wicket haul to completely bamboozle Uttarakhand on Thursday. The right-arm spinner went on to scalp six wickets after giving just 26 runs in 10-over spell. With this feat, Yuzvendra Chahal also went past 200 wickets in List A cricket. Thanks to his efforts with the ball, Haryana bowled out Uttarakhand for just 207 in 47.4 overs in their opening match of the VHT.

Yuzvendra Chahal also scalped his fifth 5-wicket haul during the Haryana vs Uttarakhand Vijay Hazare Trophy match. To note, 121 of Chahal’s wickets in List-A format have come for team India. Chahal also recorded his second-best figures in the format in the VHT match on Thursday with his best figure being 6/24.

Chahal has also represented India in 80 T20Is as he has scalped 96 wickets at an average of 25.09. Despite such decent numbers in the 20-over format, the Haryana-born spinner was still ignored for the upcoming IND vs AUS T20 series.
