After a soul crushing defeat in World Cup 2023 final, Team India shifts focus to T20Is as they begin their preparations for T20 World Cup 2024. The young Men in Blue will host Australia for a 5-match T20I series, starting on November 23 in Visakhapatnam.

Both teams have rested most of their players who were part of the recently-concluded World Cup. Ahead of the first T20I, the young Indian brigade sweated out in a gruelling net session.

Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, Yashasvi Jaiswal were in action with the bat as they were captured practicing big shots against both pace and spin.

All-rounder Axar Patel, who missed out on a World Cup spot, due to an injury, returned to nets and bowled his left-arm orthodox spin during the session.

Pacer Prasidh Krishna, Akshaydeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar also had fruitful session in nets.

Notably, India will be without their regular skipper Hardik Pandya, who has been ruled out due to an ankle injury. Suryakumar Yadav has been handed the responsibility to lead the young Indian side for the first time.
