Patna Pirates have the most titles in PKL till now – three, and there aren’t many teams that can call themselves better than them. The reason for the Pirates’ success back in the earlier PKL seasons was Pardeep Narwal, but that has changed over the years. The team has now moved to lesser stars who can deliver for them in Pro Kabaddi.
Patna Pirates Playing 7 in PKL 2023
Manjeet
Manjeet is back with the Patna Pirates after a gap of four years and had scored 102 points for them in his first season. Since then, he has come up with stellar performances, and at the PKL Auctions, Pirates only strengthened their raiding department.
Sachin
In the last two seasons, with close to 200 points, Sachin has been the main raider for Pro Kabaddi. This year will be no different, and the presence of Manjeet will only make his work easier.
Neeraj Kumar
Pirates have stuck with Neeraj in defence which is a good sign. He is one of their most experienced defenders at the moment, which could be of slight concern to them. In the last PKL season, he had 30 points only.
Krishan
The team bought Krishan at the PKL auction, and can be a good boy for them. Even though he did not have a staggering season, but still managed to score 27 points.
Sajin
Sajin is a defensive all-rounder whose role will be well-defined in the team. With the raiding department looking solid, he will have to chip in wiith work in defence.
Daniel Odhiambo
The only reason why Patna has not left Odhiambo out of the squad this season as well, could be because they could utilise him well in PKL 2023. He has well-rounded abilities in defence and raiding.
Manish
He makes the team only on the basis of him playing a handful of matches. Patna doesn’t have any more experienced contender in the mix.
