Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan uploaded a cryptic reel on her Instagram profile after Team India’s loss in the World Cup final on Sunday. In the reel, Hasin Jahan is seated as a background audio asserts, “Akhir main jeet acche logo ki hoti hai” [In the end, victory belongs to the good-hearted].
While Hasin Jahan didn’t reveal the context of her Instagram reel, netizens were quick to relate it to Team India’s defeat against Australia in World Cup final.
While some believed that Jahan was taking a sly dig at Mohammed Shami, others stated that she was just making a positive post to cheer up Team India after their heartbreaking loss.
Could have led a good life: Jahan on Shami
Earlier, Hasin Jahan had criticized Mohammed Shami and wished if the Indian pacer “was as good a person as he is a player”.
“If he were also a good person, as good a player as he is, we could have led a good life. My daughter, my husband, and I could have led a happy life if he were a good person. And it would be even more a matter of respect and honour if he were not only a good player but also a good husband and a good father,” Hasin Jahan said in an interview with UP Tak.
Notably, despite team India losing the final, Mohammed Shami had a terrific run in the World Cup. The right-arm pacer was the highest wicket-taker in the competition with 24 scalps in just seven outings. During the tournament, Shami took 3 five-wicket hauls and one four-wicket haul as well.
