The IND vs AUS World Cup final match saw several prominent stars mark their presence felt at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. From the Bollywood fraternity, the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Asha Bhonsle, and Athiya Shetty among others reached Ahmedabad to witness the IND vs AUS match.
Apart from that, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah, treasurer Ashish Shelar, vice president Rajeev Shukla among other senior dignitaries were present in the stadium.
India batting first in WC final
Speaking about the IND vs AUS match, Australia won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. Skipper Rohit Sharma gave a flying start to the Indian side. Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer fell cheaply. Rohit missed out on his well-deserved fifty. However, Virat Kohli completed his fifty but was cleaned up by opposition skipper Pat Cummins.
It must be mentioned that the Australians are playing their 8th World Cup final and they gave their all in the field. The Men in Yellow have been in brilliant in the field and have held their catches. Rohit Sharma and Co. will be eyeing anything above 280 to give a fight to their opposition.
