The last hurdle is here for India Cricket Team. In a repeat of 2003 Cricket World Cup final, India take on Australia. While Rohit Sharma will eye a perfect 11 out of 11, it could be his last chance at winning an ICC trophy. And with the team already set, Team India has not forced any change. Even though the Ahmedabad pitch is on the slower side, Ravichandran Ashwin stays on the bench as Rohit has trusted his winning combination. India Playing XI vs AUS in the IND vs AUS Final (India vs Australia) remains intact.

At the top, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have set the tone with blazing knocks in the powerplay, and Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer have provided middle-order solidity. KL Rahul has added flamboyance to take the score beyond 300.

With the new ball, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami have been lethal while Mohammed Siraj has added flair and aggression after the powerplay. The spin-twin of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have tweaked and turned the noose on the opposition batters.

Then is there a weak link? At this point, no. Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t yet unleashed his shots but he hasn’t got a longer run on the crease yet.

Former India coach Ravi Shastri is confident that an unchanged India will hold the trophy for a 3rd time.

“I think they will be relaxed. They are playing at home, and it’s a very experienced side. And they don’t need to do anything different. India will win the World Cup. They will start as favourites in the final. They have played outstandingly well,” Ravi Shastri said.

What to expect from IND vs AUS final?

  • Both Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid believe in consistency. Hence, there is no change in India Playing XI.
  • So far, it has been an even wicket for all teams. But out of five games at the Narendra Modi stadium, only once has the chasing team won.
  • It is safe to say that winning the toss and batting first will be the key.
  • Despite the wicket on the slower side, India have not brought in Ravichandran Ashwin.
  • Ashwin has so far only played a match, in Chennai, and since then, he has warmed the bench.
  • The Ahmedabad pitch offers some purchase early on with the new ball. And playing three seamers in India Playing XI is only logical.
