A host of celebrities attended the thrilling match between India and New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final on Wednesday. Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham was perhaps one of the biggest names to grace the stadium. India outclassed New Zealand to reach the finals of the World Cup in his presence. Beckham grabbed the headlines after the match, as he posed with Indian captain Rohit Sharma. However, Beckham was seen wearing Rohit’s India jersey while Rohit sported a Real Madrid jersey gifted to him by the Los Blancos legend.

Beckham is a goodwill ambassador of Unicef and was present at the ground with Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is also associated with the relief agency. Beckham met with players from both teams before the toss.

However, the highlight moment for Beckham arrived at the end of the match. Beckham gifted the famous all-white kit of Real Madrid to Indian captain Rohit Sharma. The Real Madrid jersey had Beckham’s name and the number 23 written on it. Notably, Beckham played for Los Blancos with the 23 behind his back. The Inter Miami co-owner also wrote a sweet message for Rohit Sharma and his family at the back of the Madrid jersey. The message read, “With love to your family,” followed by the autograph of the former England international.
