Lionel Messi is set to play in Argentina’s CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Uruguay on Thursday. The WC 2022 champions have won all four of their qualifying games this season. After playing only one game in last 25 days, coach Lionel Scaloni says Messi is all ready to play in Argentina vs Uruguay.
“Messi is fine, he is doing well. Beyond the fact that he played a game in the last 25 days, he has been training normally. He is in good condition and he is fine. “ said Scaloni in the pre-match conference.
Messi was instrumental in Argentina’s last qualifying encounter in October. Argentina defeated Peru 2-0 on the road, with a first-half brace from Lionel Messi. Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni is optimistic about Messi’s fitness before their match against Uruguay. Even though Messi has not played a competitive game for Inter Miami after October 22.
