SA vs AUS Weather Report: The weather in Kolkata currently is very windy and cloudy at the moment. The Eden Gardens stadium is covered up. And there is a good chance of rain halting the second semi-final of World Cup 2023.

South Africa and Australia are set to face off in the second semi-final of the World Cup 2023 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today, November 16. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for Kolkata is not favorable, with a continuous spell of rain on Thursday posing a threat to disrupt the crucial match.

Nevertheless, if rain interrupts the semi-final showdown, South Africa will hold an advantage over Australia. Find the specifics in the detailed weather report below.

SA vs AUS: Kolkata Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, there is a 50 percent chance of showers in Kolkata on Thursday, potentially leading to the washout of the Australia vs New Zealand semi-final match. The afternoon humidity is expected to be around 77 percent, with a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. The nighttime temperature will decrease further to around 23 degrees Celsius.

Insidesport

Although there is a reserve day scheduled for the match, the weather report indicates that rain is anticipated to increase on Friday. The playing conditions stipulate that a minimum of 20 overs per side must be completed across the two days.

What if the SA vs AUS semi-final clash is washed-out?

In case of rain disrupting the Australia vs South Africa World Cup semi-final match on Thursday, the ICC has designated Friday as a backup day. Moreover, if rain persists on the reserve day and prevents a minimum of 20 overs per side from being played across the two days, resulting in no result, the team that secured a higher position in the group stage will advance to the final.

The weather forecast indicates an 80% chance of rain on the reserve day. Consequently, if the rain continues on Friday, South Africa, having finished second in the points table, will progress to the finals.
