Mohammed Shami continued to shine for Team India as he wreaked havoc on New Zealand in the first semi-finals in Mumbai. The fiery pacer was the only bowler in the line-up to get all the four scalps, en route to which he established the record. Shami also achieved the exceptional feat of reaching 50 World Cup wickets with the fewest deliveries, leading a list comprising of legends.

Shami proved to be the breakthrough India needed as New Zealand continued to mount pressure on India. Despite the Men in Blue seeting a monumental 397-run target, they looked to be struggling against the Black Caps who were playing the Indian bowlers exceptionally well.
