Indian batter Shreyas Iyer previously held the record for the biggest six in the ongoing World Cup. Iyer hit a 106 m six during the Sri Lanka clash at the same venue.

Talking about the game, Mitchell is still at the crease and fighting hard to take New Zealand near the target. Mitchell stitched a 181-run stand with skipper Kane Williamson before Mohammed Shami stuck twice in an over to pull India back in the game.
