India continued their rampage en route to the World Cup 2023 semi-finals as they took on Netherlands in the last game of the league stage. All the 5 batsmen – Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer & KL Rahul – brought up fifty+ scores. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer ended up with a century reach in the IND vs NED game.
The batting onslaught by the Indian top order made it the fifth time the top 4 batters have registered 50+ run scores for the Men in Blue in the ODI format. It was in 2006 in Indore against England when India first achieved this tremendous feat. They then went on to repeat it three more times before today’s IND vs NED contest.
