The Men’s U19 Asia Cup is all set to begin on December 8 with Dubai hosting the event. Team India will take on Afghanistan in the opening match of the event. Meanwhile, Pakistan will also be seen in action as they face Nepal in the second match of U19 Asia Cup. A total of eight teams will be participating in the upcoming competition.
India are the defending champs of U19 Asia Cup
As mentioned above, as many as eight teams will be participating in the Men’s U19 Asia Cup. The nations have been divided into two groups of four teams each. Defending champions India have been clubbed alongside Nepal, Afghanistan and arch-rivals Pakistan in Group A.
Group B, on the other hand, consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Japan and hosts UAE. It is worth noting that Nepal, UAE and Japan joined the competition owing to the top three rankings (outside regular members) they secured on their path towards the tournament.
The Under-19 Men’s Asia Cup 2023 will kick off with a Group A match between Nepal and Afghanistan on December 8. Three different venues in Dubai have been assigned to stage all 15 matches of the competition, namely the ICC Academy Oval-1, ICC Academy Oval-2 and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
