Babar Azam enjoys golf ahead of Do-or-Die PAK vs ENG Cricket World Cup clash

Pakistan captain Babar Azam recently stroked his fourth half-century in the ongoing World Cup against New Zealand.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam alongside coaching staff including Grant Bradburn, bowling coach Morne Morkel and Andrew Puttick played golf ahead of their important World Cup clash against England. Meanwhile, the other teammates got indulged in a pool session at the hotel in Kolkata. Earlier, Babar Azam and Co. completed a sensational win over New Zealand after being asked to chase 402 runs.

We could have chased 450: Babar Azam on last match

As mentioned above, Pakistan recently defeated NZ in their last World Cup match. Chasing a massive total, Fakhar Zaman slammed a blazing century while Babar Azam played the second fiddle as he completed his fourth fifty in the ongoing World Cup. Recently, Babar praised Zaman for his antics in Bengaluru and said that they could have also chased the target of 450.

“My view was as long as Fakhar was there, we could even have chased 450,” the Pakistan captain said. “When he plays innings like these, we win 90% of games. After every six I said to him, ‘don’t force the issue’. He said okay but then ignored me and started hitting sixes anyway. So I then said to him, ‘do whatever you want, just don’t get out’. [It’s] one of the best innings I’ve seen,” said Babar.

Insidesport

As stated above, Pakistan are set to take England in their final World Cup group-stage match. However, Babar and Co. are also depending on the result of the upcoming NZ vs SL match. If New Zealand win that game then Pakistan are out of the contention of semi-finals.
