AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey greets legendary Oliver Kahn ahead of stay in India

AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey welcomes Bayern Munich icon Oliver Kahn ahead of his visit to India, where they will strategize for the country's growth and development in football

FC Bayern Munich & Germany legend Oliver Kahn met with AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey upon returning to India 15 years later. He took to Twitter a few days ago to declare his plan to return to the city after 15 years since 2008. Kahn said that he will be visiting India to oversee the country’s football development. FIFA Cheif of global Operations,  Arsene Wenger will also be in India this month.

On landing in Delhi, Oliver Kahn was met by AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey and football aficionado Kaushik Moulik. Tomorrow, he will meet with students from GD Somani Memorial School and BD Somani International School.

Following that, he would travel to Pune to meet with students from the Balewadi Institute. He will interact with Alard University students in addition to presenting a motivational talk.

The presentation of Oliver Kahn’s view on the Indian football road map will be one of the most fascinating elements of this visit. He will examine the chances, problems, and potential of Indian football for the first time in India, which promises to be eye-opening for all football aficionados.

FC Bayern Munich visited India on May 27, 2008, 15 years ago, for Oliver Kahn’s last match. Bayern Munich faced Mohun Bagan in front of a rowdy crowd at India’s Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.

Almost 130,000 fans crowded the stadium to see the farewell game of famous custodian Oliver Kahn. He stated it was the largest audience he had ever performed for.

Most people think that Oliver Kahn is one of the finest goalkeepers of all time. At both the club and international levels, he won various awards, including the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Euro. The eight-time Bundesliga champion played 55 minutes of the game.
