Marcus Rashford not happy with Manchester United fan
As the #10 of Old Trafford struggles continue this season, supporters have expressed concern over his play. Some even suggesting that Erik ten Hag should bench the 26-year-old. Ten Hag disclosed prior to the match that Marcus Rashford had sustained a minor injury.
As a result, the England star did not play in United’s 1-0 victory over Fulham. ‘Rashford’s future in doubt?’ was the title of a video that popular fan channel The United Stand released on Monday.
The video has not gone down well with the striker of Manchester United. Marcus Rashford then went onto X and replied to the post, ‘Please STOP spreading malicious rumours.’
In a description of their video on YouTube, the United Stand wrote, ‘Given Rashford’s injury against Fulham and his recent subpar performances, the question arises: should he still be a regular starter for Manchester United.’
Erik Ten Hag on Rashford
Marcus Rashford went to the Fulham match with the team. This was just days after Ten Hag declared the youngster had shown regret for going out late the night after United’s 3-0 victory.
Following their 3-0 derby loss to Man City at Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford went to a nightclub to celebrate his birthday, which drew criticism from manager Ten Hag. In the subsequent Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle, 3-0, he entered the game off the bench.
Ten Hag said, ‘I spoke with him about it. It’s unacceptable. He apologised and that is it. For us it’s an internal matter.’

Marcus Rashford has maintained a low profile ever since it became public. The #10 stayed home after the team’s victory over Fulham the previous weekend instead of going out with the players. However, after a video of him failing to acknowledge Manchester United fans at a train station went viral, he received backlash from football fans on social media.
Despite outside concerns over his form, Ten Hag told club channel MUTV that he is ‘sure that he will be back on track’. He said, ‘I see him in training performing so well so I think that before long, he will be back on track. He will make a lot of goals for us and he will be so very important for us. Once we find our rhythm, once the team finds its rhythm, it is also easier for him.’
