Insidesport

Taira has defeated Edgar Chairez, Jesus Aguilar, CJ Vergara, and Carlos Candelario thus far in the promotion. On October 14, he was supposed to play David Dvorak again, however Dvorak withdrew, and Taira was taken off the card.

Hernandez defeated Victor Altamirano in a split decision to make his UFC debut in February 2022. After losing by fast submission to Allan Nascimento in his second promotional match, Hernandez triumphed over Denys Bondar via technical decision when he returned in June. Hernandez slammed Bondar until he lost consciousness. Due to the referee’s determination that Hernandez’s head accidentally collided with Bondar, leading to the knockout, the bout was submitted to the judges for scoring.
