Daisuke Sakai scored the opening goal of the tie as East Bengal sunk to yet another defeat. Despite holding the possession for the lion share the Red & Gold Brigade failed to score. Diamantakos held up play and brought Luna into the game with a touch of magic. Luna split open the defence with a sensational pass. Daisuke Sakai ran onto it, stopped, checked back, and curled a lovely hit into the far bottom corner. Dimitrios Diamantakos scored the other goal of the night as Sachin Suresh made a stunning save from the spot.
