India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is known for her hot temper on the field, and on Friday, she was involved in a verbal spat with New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine, during a Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) match between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers. The incident occurred during the first innings of the match when Devine went on to bowl at Harmanpreet when the latter was not ready.
That started an argument of sorts between the two players, and eventually, the umpire had to intervene. The umpires did call it a no-ball, and Devine had to bowl the delivery again. In all this, the best moment came when Beth Mooney, Scorchers’ keeper described the incident to the commentators.
Asked, who would win the argument between the two, Mooney said, ‘Harmanpreet scares me a bit’.
