Baby GOAT Shubman Gill yet again impressed the cricketing fans with his exceptional batting performances. Gill comfortably tops the charts in the Most Runs scored in ODIs in the 2023 Calendar year. Shubman Gill scored 92 runs in the crucial IND vs SL World Cup clash to take amass 1426 runs on ODIs in 2023.

Questions remain about whether Shubman Gill will be able to surpass the record set by Sachin Tendulkar back in 1998 when the Masterblaster amassed a whopping 1894 runs from 34 games.

Despite a rather shaky start in the ongoing ICC World Cup, Shubman Gill registered his 2nd Fifty in only his 5th game of the tournament. It was a heartbreak for the Indian Cricket fans who were disappointed when Gill was dismissed on 92, missing the special 3-digit mark by just 8 runs.

Shubman Gill has been a class apart in the ongoing 2023 Calendar year. Smashing records left right and center and scoring runs for fun, the youngster has amassed 1960 runs in 2023 across the three formats of the game. But it is the ODIs where the Baby GOAT has truly shown his colors.

1426 runs from 25 matches, with the highest score of 208 accompanied by 5 tons and 7 half-centuries, Shubman Gill has been a level apart from the rest.

The World Cup has not been great for him till now. He missed the first 2 matches after being affected by dengue and then went on to score 16, 53, 26, and 9 in the next four games. But against Sri Lanka, Gill showed his class. He managed to score 92 runs in equal balls and stitched a strong partnership with Virat Kohli.
