India vs Pakistan World Cup Semi-final clash at Eden Gardens still possible, Check how

India vs Pakistan blockbuster clash could be played yet again in this World Cup, if India finishes first, and Pakistan ends up 4th on the points table

‘Qudrat ka Nizam’ is trending all over Twitter after South Africa thrashed New Zealand yesterday in the ongoing World Cup. South Africa’s massive win has kept Pakistan and their fans’ hopes alive of making it to the last four. Babar Azam & Co are currently placed fifth on the points table with six points, they still have two more games to play against New Zealand and England.

If they manage to win both games and the Kiwis lose both their games against Pakistan and Lankans, then Babar Azam & Co could finish fourth on the points table.

If Pakistan does qualify for the semis, then they could potentially face India in the semi-final. However, for that scenario to materialize, India should finish first in the points table. For now, the Men in Blue are the only unbeaten team in the World Cup. However, if they lose against either Sri Lanka, South Africa, or the Netherlands, then India might finish first on the points table.

As per the original ICC schedule, the first semi-final will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, PCB made it very clear before the WC schedule that they won’t play a match in Mumbai if they make it to the semi-final. BCCI paid heed to their request and have kept Eden Gardens as the venue if Pakistan reaches semis.
