Kevin De Bruyne is a midfielder who plays for Premier League side Manchester City. He finished 4th in the 2023 Ballon d’Or rankings, but now rumours about a possible move to Saudi Arabia are surrounding him. The 32-year-old is happy at Manchester City but could be tempted to move to Saudi Arabia due to the money that is on offer.

De Bruyne was contacted by Cristiano Ronaldo’s team Al-Nassr. Al-Nassr want to explain to the Belgian international their long-term plan and unite him with players Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, and Aymeric Laporte.
Kevin De Bruyne’s contract at Manchester City expires in 2025. New contract talks have halted as the player is currently side-lined with an injury. Both the player and the club are in no rush to sign a new contract, but this gives the Manchester City star a little more freedom to decide if he wants to leave Manchester City.
Manchester City are keeping an eye on possible De Bruyne replacements
The 32-year-old is not expected to feature for City till the new year. Pep, however, has already found a way to make do without De Bruyne. Julian Alvarez has been filling in his absence and has been doing a fantastic job. Alvarez has gotten the chance to start games regularly for Manchester City. He has taken this chance to showcase just what he is capable of.
Manchester City have also been following some potential long-term replacements for Kevin De Bruyne. City have been keeping an eye on the likes of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo. Both these players are very talented and can be fantastic replacements if De Bruyne decide to leave City.
It seems unlikely however that Kevin De Bruyne will leave Manchester City. The Belgian international just won the treble with City and is very happy at the club. According to reports, De Bruyne may even choose to play at Etihad till he retires. An extremely lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia may be enough to convince De Bruyne to part ways with City but only time will tell if he decides to stay at Manchester City or move to Saudi Arabia.
